Route description
Cyclists start the Hocheppan tour in the centre of St. Michael near Eppan: first head towards Kaltern until the junction 540/7, where you turn off and cycle past Moos-Schulthaus Castle to Gasthof Steinegger. Here, cyclists follow trail no. 8B to Gasthof Kreuzstein. Here cyclists are faced with a choice: either head towards Gasthof Buchwald and take forest road no. 10 onto the tarmac road and to Perdoning.
Or, just before Buchwald, take forest road 536 to get to Perdoning. In Perdoning, continue on forest road no. 9 and after a very steep descent you finally reach Hocheppan Castle. Return along the road towards St. Michael.
