Welcome to the Veraltenhof in Tiers am Rosengarten

The Veraltenhof is situated in a sunny panoramic location at over 1,100 metres above sea level in Tiers am Rosengarten. Surrounded by meadows and forest, guests can enjoy not only breathtaking views of the Dolomites, but also a relaxed closeness to nature. The organic farm offers cosy rooms with breakfast as well as insights into farm life between berry garden and variety of herbs, between dwarf zebus and honey bees. The farm is the ideal holiday retreat for hiking fans, nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet.

Restful holiday home

The 4 double rooms at the Veraltenhof are cosily furnished with solid wood furniture and wooden floors and have a bathroom with shower, WC and hairdryer. The 3 rooms facing the valley have access to the shared balcony, with one room offering an additional room. For a relaxing break, our guests also have access to a lounge with free Wi-Fi, a well-equipped communal kitchen, a panoramic terrace and a sunbathing lawn. Our breakfast delights with a variety of organic products from the farm and the region. We also offer a packed lunch if ordered the day before, and there is a corner with our own farm produce.

Experiences on the farm and in the mountains

Our dog and cats live on the farm, as well as ducks and guinea pigs, and on request we are happy to organise a farm tour for our guests, e.g. with a visit to the stables or a garden excursion. Active holidaymakers can set off on a variety of hikes between Rosengarten and Schlern directly from the Veraltenhof. Our guests also receive the South Tyrol Guest Pass free of charge and thus free travel on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol. The marvellous surroundings are ideal for outdoor activities at any time of the year, and on request we rent rucksacks, rain protection and snow boards free of charge.

This is the 14th time we have stayed at Evelyn's, she is very friendly and always ready to help. She raises goats, ponies and sheep and she also has bees. Hearty organic breakfast, exceptional setting with a view of the Rosengarten massif, very beautiful rooms with balconies. Many starting points for magnificent hikes. Really recommended.

A beautiful little guesthouse that offers rooms with breakfast. A little journey back in time for us. There was a wonderful breakfast room. In the morning, breakfast was waiting for us in the refrigerator. The breakfast was varied and perfectly adequate. It was great that we didn't have to wait long for the buffet to order, but could enjoy our breakfast straight away. There was a variety of cheeses and something different every day, such as smoked sausages, ham, etc., as well as delicious jams, muesli, coffee, tea, and, upon our request, eggs. The room was quite large and spacious, functionally furnished, and the bathroom was quite small. The hiking tips were particularly valuable. Evelyn is an expert on the area. There is also a shared balcony and a kitchen. Both were very convenient for us, as we like to eat at the hut and then just make a quick snack in the evening. The other guests were also very nice and considerate, so it was usually quiet by 9:30 p.m. The interaction with the animals was also great. Among other things, there was a tame sheep. There was ample free parking behind the house, and the location is perfect for hikers. We liked the pared-down, minimalist feel.

Farm in a quiet, somewhat secluded location. Some of the rooms are a bit small and cramped, equipped only with the bare essentials (no soap, no toiletries, no hairdryer, no TV, etc.). A lovely view from the small shared balcony. Breakfast reflects the owner's commitment to using high-quality organic products, and it's a reasonable price/performance ratio.

We felt very comfortable here. Evelyn prepared a varied breakfast every day with products from neighboring farms. The location is highly recommended. You can quickly drive to the Seiser Alm, Lake Carezza, and Bolzano, for example. We were here in August. While it was up to 36 degrees Celsius in Bolzano, it was about 10 degrees cooler at the accommodation, as it was located on the mountain.

We were there in September. The farm's location and the view of the rose garden from our room were a dream! Evelyn lovingly prepared breakfast every day – we didn't miss a thing! We got to know the other guests in the shared kitchen and on the shared balcony. We had a wonderful time at the farm and would love to come back!

Great accommodation with a stunning view of the Rosengarten. We lacked nothing. We felt incredibly comfortable and welcome. The farm is a good starting point for many hikes. Evelyn recommended suitable hikes every day, depending on the weather. Other starting points are easily accessible by bus (the bus stop is a 10-minute walk away). The breakfast was excellent, with little surprises and homemade delicacies from Evelyn. All organic products. In the evening, we were able to prepare our own meals in the fully equipped shared kitchen. Excellent value for money. All in all, highly recommended.
