Our B&B Gasserhof in Verdins (Schenna) and the apartment house are located in a wonderfully quiet panoramic position above Meran. In the familiar atmosphere of our guesthouse, we welcome you with hearty hospitality. During your stay in the family-friendly B&B Gasserhof, you enjoy a dreamlike view over Meran and environs and the impressive mountain scenery of the surrounding area.

Many services included

For our guests, we offer comfortable and light-flooded rooms with balcony, shower, WC, safe, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and clock radio. The new apartments with various sizes are spacious, light-flooded and equipped with all comforts. It is also possible to book an extra room, so they offer enough space for 2-6 persons. The guests in our apartment may also benefit from our bread service. Our guests in the rooms daily enjoy a rich breakfast buffet – a magnificent panoramic terrace awaits you in summer. Our garden with heated and covered pool and sunbeds is the perfect place for relaxing moments. As well, we offer barbecue facilities. Our small guests can look forward to a playing corner, a table tennis table, a sandbox, a swing and much more.

Activities for young and old

In the surrounding area of our B&B Gasserhof, you enjoy countless holiday activities and destinations for excursions for the entire family. In summer, the tourism association of Schenna organise an exciting children’s programme. The position of our house invites you to discover the surrounding area on foot. The centre of Verdins – with restaurants, pizzeria, café and a small supermarket – is very close. The bus stop and a cableway station are located at 150 m of distance. Verdins near Schenna is a good starting point for excursions and bike tours. As well, we provide you with a hiking map and useful tips for excursions. We also recommend you to visit the spa town of Meran.

Wonderful location! Very relaxing, with peace and quiet. Very friendly and thoughtful hosts. Many hiking and excursion options. Hiking bus and public transport are nearby. A cable car to the Hirzer mountain is also nearby. Excellent restaurants are within walking distance. "Bad Verdins" deserves special mention, with its particularly high-quality cuisine and good value, and the "Dorfstübchen" restaurant. A relaxing vacation!

A beautiful holiday apartment that offers everything you need for a vacation. There's also a small playground with climbing opportunities for the little ones. From arrival to departure, everyone was welcoming and friendly. Definitely a place we'll visit again.

We went to Verdins for a short hiking holiday after the Whitsun holidays. The Gasserhof is a family-run B&B and also offers holiday apartments. The rooms are very well-kept, and you immediately feel at home. The breakfast is simple but delicious, with something for everyone, including a freshly boiled egg on request. The family who run it are very helpful, and Andreas always has a good tip for a hike. We were lucky enough to experience a guided hike with Andreas into the beautiful Ulten Valley; it was a wonderful day. After the heat, you can cool off in the beautiful, well-maintained pool or relax in the shade of the garden. In the evening, you can sit comfortably on the terrace with other guests and enjoy a schnapps or two. The village has several restaurants to suit every taste and a small shop for daily needs. The stop for the public and hiking bus is right at the junction with the main road. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back!

We spent two wonderful weeks there. The setting is idyllic, the rooms are very clean and welcoming. Everything is done to make you feel at home. Although the B&B is extremely well located in the region, we particularly appreciated the tranquility that reigns in the village of Verdins, which, in our opinion, is not "too" touristy, unlike Schenna or Merano. Furthermore, Verdins is very well served by public transportation. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. Every morning, we were able to discover regional specialties and taste a variety of homemade jams, each more exquisite than the last. Our hosts kindly accompanied us throughout our stay, suggesting, among other things, the hikes not to be missed and the farms not to be missed. We can only recommend this magical place for a pleasant stay in South Tyrol.

A superb guesthouse in Verdins, with a stunning view of the mountains. With beautifully furnished, tastefully decorated rooms and a fantastic breakfast. If you're up for it, you can cool off in the pool. And most importantly, a very nice and friendly host family who makes you feel right at home. I'll be back.

First of all, the hosts Manuela and Andreas are very friendly and fulfill every wish. The Gasserhof has been renovated a little more each year. The rooms are modernly furnished. From the balcony, you have a wonderful view of the mountains or the valley. At breakfast, there are fresh rolls, eggs, yogurt with fruit, and a variety of cold cuts and cheeses, changing daily with cucumbers and tomatoes. Weather permitting, you can have breakfast on the panoramic terrace and enjoy a light meal or a cold drink in the evening. The hosts regularly offer an evening buffet on-site. Highly recommended – Manuela prepares everything herself. Verdins is a small village near Schenna. A few small restaurants invite you to eat and drink. You can buy a bus ticket locally, which makes it easy to reach various places for hiking, strolling, or shopping (Merano, Bolzano, Merano 2000) without a car. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk away. After a long day, you can cool off in the pool (it's behind the house). Enjoy the panoramic views of the beautiful mountains. Andreas is happy to bring you fresh, cold drinks by the pool. There are plenty of sun umbrellas and loungers available. The hosts' tips for excursions around Schenna were invaluable and we happily tried them out. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back to the Gasserhof.

We spent our vacation with our two children (one of whom uses a wheelchair) in the Birne apartment with the Jolly additional room. The apartment is very clean, modern, spacious, and wheelchair-accessible. The beds were also absolutely clean and comfortable. The Kaufmann family is very welcoming and always went out of their way to look after the children. The house is in a very quiet location, yet the bus stop and the village center are less than five minutes away. We would definitely come back. Dear Kaufmann family, thank you so much for the wonderful time we spent with you.
