Our family-run Naturhotel Waldheim*** in Altrei is an ideal place for a pleasant holiday marked by tranquillity, nature and relaxation. It is characterized by its sunny and very peaceful location in Altrei, a peaceful hamlet south of Bozen, and it is surrounded by the wonderful landscape of the nature park Trudner Horn.

A family-run, welcoming hotel with beautiful rooms, a cozy restaurant, and a great spa area where you immediately feel comfortable and at home. Breakfast and dinner are also excellent. You can set out on many hiking trails right from the hotel, and the idyllic village of Altrei offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

The staff was always friendly and attentive, and the entire hotel was clean and very well maintained. The view of the mountains was phenomenal, and there were many trails perfect for hiking, all of which were in good condition. We always looked forward to breakfast and, especially, dinner. It was a wonderful week.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel from September 21–26, 2026. From the very first moment, I felt very well taken care of and warmly welcomed. That feeling didn’t change until the day I left. All the staff were polite and attentive. I’d especially like to highlight the food, though. It far exceeded all expectations. The meals (multi-course menu) were simply DELICIOUS!!! Second helpings were available at any time. Breakfast also left nothing to be desired. It’s a shame, really, that you can’t rate your satisfaction higher than 100%—and that’s exactly how I felt. Thank you very much for the friendliness of everyone at your hotel.
