The Hotel Seelaus**** is situated at 1,800 m above sea level in a sunny and panoramic position, in the famous holiday region of the Seiser Alm. The family-run four-star hotel in Compatsch (municipality of Kastelruth) offers fantastic views of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites, a large wellness area and a relaxed ambience. Thanks to its location right next to ski slopes and hiking trails, the Hotel Seelaus is ideal for a nature-oriented holiday between alpine meadows and mountain peaks – in summer as well as in winter.

Living & enjoying with a view

A total of 30 cosy rooms and suites are waiting for you – from the newly designed double or family rooms to the spacious suites with living area, wellness bag and backpack for an even more comfortable stay. All rooms have a balcony with morning or afternoon sun, free Wi-Fi, high-quality beds, shower, WC and hairdryer. Certain rooms are also suitable for allergy sufferers, and the suites additionally offer a bidet as well as a whirlpool or a barrier-free shower.  Let us spoil you with culinary delights: Our chef Richard and his team focus on a fresh mix of alpine and Mediterranean cuisine. From bread and strudel to the pasta dough, everything is home-made and the herbs come from our own garden. In this way, the varied breakfast buffet in the morning and the 5-course gourmet menu in the evening are highlights of enjoyment. Other delights await you in our wellness area: Swimming pool, sauna, showers, hay chairs, Kneipp basins, the restroom and our alpine garden invite you to a relaxing time-out.

Our Hotel Seelaus is the ideal starting point, if you want to discover the Seiser Alm with its inviting huts and imposing Dolomite peaks such as Mt. Schlern or Langkofel. Right on our doorstep, there are many possibilities for hikers and bikers, skiers and snowshoe hikers. Between climbing routes, running trails, golf courses, horse rides, toboggan runs and cross-country ski runs: In the surroundings, active holidaymakers will surely get their money’s worth all year round. And we will be happy to give you tips for the most beautiful tours. We also offer a practical bike and ski depot, a free rental of snowshoes and toboggans, parking spaces and a playground.

We stayed 4 nights in mid-October and had a truly wonderful time: The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The location is splendid, beneath the Schlern, which we could admire even from the window of our room. The restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and dinner. The menu was carefully prepared and of the highest quality. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

We stayed five days two weeks ago and had a great time; it was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. It's in a quiet location, the food is divine, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. We did some long hikes, and luckily the weather was nice too. We'll be back next year. Congratulations!

An extraordinary hotel on the Alpe di Siusi, beneath Compaccio. An excellent location for enjoying the tranquility of the Alpe di Siusi and a breathtaking view of the Sciliar. Attentive, friendly staff, always available. It's always nice to be greeted every morning at the breakfast table with a smile and a kind word: these are never lacking at the Seelaus. Excellent cuisine.

The location is excellent, you're ready to go in no time. The staff is courteous and helpful. Our room was wonderful! Spotlessly clean and ultra-comfortable! The breakfast and evening buffet were plentiful, and everything was delicious. The dinner itself was good but not exceptional. A bottle of water costs €5 or more. It's ridiculous... But given the setting, it's no surprise... We'll definitely be back!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights: two adults and our 8-month-old baby. From the very beginning, we found a welcoming, family atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. A special thanks goes to Zarina and Marianna, who were extremely kind and attentive to us and, especially, to our little girl. The location is excellent, and the food is excellent. It truly has it all: highly recommended. We hope to return soon!

We had an amazing 4-night stay at Hotel Seelaus in Alpe di Siusi. It was the perfect base for exploring the entire region, including Alpe di Siusi itself, Seceda, Ortisei, and many other beautiful hiking areas. If you stay here, I highly recommend including both breakfast and dinner in your booking. The food was excellent and gave us all the energy we needed for long hiking days. Breakfast was a rich buffet, and dinner was a 5-course meal with multiple options. Every morning during breakfast, you receive a menu where you can choose from. Our room with a balcony and mountain view was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. It was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our trip through the Dolomites. The bathroom was perfect, featuring a spacious rain shower. The entire room was kept in impeccable condition, clean, tidy, and very well looked after. The staff was friendly. A great extra detail: the room came with a brand-new backpack you could use during your stay, which we actually took with us on almost all our hikes, super convenient! We would definitely stay here again if we return to the Dolomites. Highly recommended!
