Hotel Alpentirolis

Simply our favorite place!

We stayed at the Alpentirolis for 9 nights. Everything was perfect. Many thanks to the Hofer family and all the staff for the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is located on a quiet side street. It's an ideal starting point for all kinds of hikes.

A mixed review: The room was spacious and well-equipped, although a bit dated with all the dark wood. The location is fantastic, and the view over the valley, Merano, and the surrounding mountains is breathtaking! Unfortunately, I have to deduct points for the service: The housekeeping staff (thank you again for the lovely floral arrangement on our bed!) and the lady in charge of the breakfast room deserve praise for their friendliness and professionalism. However, it should be noted that the breakfast buffet items were replenished very slowly, and the butter wasn't refrigerated. The owners themselves can only be described as impersonal at best. The reception was unattended upon our arrival, and when we rang the bell, a woman answered and explained that they were out for lunch. Legitimate, but there wasn't a single word of friendly greeting, terms agreed upon by phone/email were questioned, and the guest card was only provided after we specifically asked for it. The check-out process wasn't much better; there was no inquiry about our satisfaction or even a friendly "goodbye." This was certainly our first and only stay in this house, because when you are made to feel like a nuisance at reception, that is no basis for relaxing days.

We've stayed at the Hotel Alpentirolis several times, and for good reason... Tyrol is situated at a fairly high altitude, and this hotel is located at the upper end of the town, just before the cable car station. When it's unbearably hot in Merano in the summer, it's a welcome respite here. The hotel may be a bit older, but the interior is timelessly classic for the region, and the rooms are spacious and, like the entire hotel, impeccably clean. There's a lovely spa area and a generous indoor and outdoor pool. The view from the beautiful terrace with its modern lounge furniture is simply fantastic! A cool drink tastes especially good here after a hike. The breakfast is varied and delicious. Great bread and rolls are a given, along with fruit, fresh cold cuts and cheese (not supermarket fare), and a delicious selection of coffees. In addition to the hotel's own parking spaces in front of the building, there's even an underground garage. To keep up with the trend towards e-bikes, charging stations in the garage would be a great addition. However, we were able to charge our bikes easily in front of the hotel. The hotel offers a wide variety of delicious breakfast options. The hotel also has its own parking spaces in front of the building. We enjoyed our stay again and this won't be our last visit to Hotel Alpentirolis!

A lovely, personal atmosphere. Delicious breakfast buffet and a fantastic dinner. The wellness area was small but impressive. Everything was perfect.

We stayed in Dorf Tirol for 4 nights last week. Great hotel, friendly, clean, dogs are welcome, from here good options to go to various restaurants, we would be happy to come back , thank you for the hospitality, great breakfast

Magnificent hotel in an excellent location with a stunning view of the entire valley. Spacious and well-appointed rooms. The relaxation area is lovely, and the breakfast is excellent, plentiful and varied! Highly recommended!
