In our Pension Sonnenhof at the entrance of the holiday resort Meransen, your holiday in South Tyrol will be an unforgettable experience. On the one hand, this is ensured by the very sunny position and the impressive view of Eisacktal and Pustertal with the unique Dolomites, that you can enjoy in a direct panoramic position.

Comfort, cuisine & regenration

The friendly atmosphere and the comfortable rooms guarantee that our guests always feel at their ease from the very first moment. All guestrooms are light-flooded and have a balcony with sunbeds, shower, WC, safe and satellite TV (32 inches). Every morning in our Sonnenhof begins with a rich breakfast buffet, so that you can perfectly start in a day full of activities. In the evening, when you return from hikes, bike tours or from the ski runs, we will spoil you with delicious menus with South Tyrolean and Italian dishes. Moreover, we offer a new sauna landscape with bio sauna, aromatic steam bath, infrared sauna in the Luis Trenker style and Finnish sauna made of South Tyrolean spruce wood. In the Alpine chill lounge, you can perfectly relax your body and soul.

Pure holiday pleasures

Our Sonnenhof in Meransen is located in the Gitschberg Jochtal holiday region so that you will not need to use your car during your holiday. In addition, our guests will look forward to the countless advantages of the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass, which allows you to use all means of public transport in South Tyrol for free.

Ski shuttle & skiing at Gitschberg-Jochtal

In winter, the bus stop for the ski shuttle is located 50 m from our house, which takes you for free to the lift facilities. The first ski lift is located only about 150 m from the hotel and can also be reached on foot.

Familie Unterkircher hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Jeden Tag haben Sie uns tolle Tipps für die Ausflüge gegeben. Das Personal war sehr freundlich,kompetent und sehr aufmerksam. Familie Unterkircher schafft eine wunderbare Atmosphäre, in der man sich wohl fühlt. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Es wurde mit Liebe gekocht und serviert. Wir sind sehr glücklich, dass wir in der Pension Sonnenhof unseren Urlaub genießen konnten.

We felt completely at home at the Sonnenhof Guesthouse from the very first moment! The beautiful location, the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and the incredibly kind owners made our vacation truly special. Everyone is very warm and welcoming and always willing to listen to any questions or requests. We had a wonderful time and would definitely love to come back! ️ Highly recommended!

The Sonnenhof stands out for its perfect location, truly beautiful rooms, a one-of-a-kind view of the Dolomites, and dining that’s second to none! You don’t just feel well taken care of here—you feel right at home! Combined with the sauna area, it’s simply the ideal place for a relaxing vacation. An insider tip: The attic suites offer incredible views of the Puster Valley and the Dolomites. Waking up in the morning to a view of the Peitlerkofel and the Geislerspitzen—what more could your heart desire!!

The hospitality and service in every area were exceptionally good; if you don’t feel at home at the Sonnenhof, there’s no helping you. After 2024, I returned to the Sonnenhof with a larger sports group. Everyone wants to come back.

A very nice bed-and-breakfast with well-appointed rooms. The breakfast buffet has everything your heart desires, from sweet to savory. Fresh fried or scrambled eggs are available upon request. In the evening, there’s a 4-course meal with a selection of dishes.
