Welcome to the Bühelwirt*** in the Ahrntal valley!

In the middle of the mountains on a hill in the small village of St. Jakob lies our organic hotel Bühelwirt*** in the beautiful Ahrntal. It consists of a cosy inn that is over 100 years old and is connected to a modern new building via a narrow footbridge. In our lovingly managed and climate-neutral hotel, you will experience warm hospitality in a very special place of peace, strength and inspiration far away from the hustle and bustle. The beauty of the untouched nature as well as the impressive panoramic view of glaciers, meadows and forests of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park and the Hohe Tauern National Park will excite you.

We offer our guests a charming temporary home with Alpine flair and original modern design. The comfortable and stylishly furnished rooms made with local woods and textiles are equipped with balcony, bathroom with WC, shower or bathtub and hairdryer, FLAT-TV, WLAN and much more. Some of the rooms are suitable for allergy sufferers. Recharge your batteries and relax in our new wellness area with a 12 m² Panorama sauna, a 65 m² relaxation zone with mountain views, a tea bar with dried and fresh fruits, sensational showers to cool off and direct access to the outdoor sunbathing lawn. The large play area and the play corner for small children provide entertainment for our younger guests as well.

At the Bühelwirt we attach great importance to sustainability and the use of fresh, regional and homemade products in the best organic quality. Our chef Michi Moser serves traditional South Tyrolean recipes mixed with Mediterranean dishes that showcase the regional diversity in all its facets. Carefully selected producers from the region with short transport routes and herbs from the hotel's own garden ensure an eco-friendly and true taste experience. On request, we cook vegan and take food intolerances into consideration. For the little guests, there are many delicacies on our menu for children.

The original Ahrntal valley convinces in every season, with a dreamlike mountain landscape and countless hiking trails. In summer, we are happy to plan the most breathtaking hikes, walks and bike tours with you. In winter, the family-friendly Klausberg skiing area is close by. In addition to perfectly groomed slopes, snowshoe hikes, ski tours, cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs, horse-drawn sleigh rides and other winter adventures await you in the Ahrntal. Our guests enjoy free admission to the indoor swimming pool Cron 4 and the natural swimming pond (Cascade Acqua) in Sand in Taufers.
