Welcome to Forsterhof in Algund near Meran

Our Forsterhof in Algund is surrounded by magnificent vineyards and is located within a distance of only a few kilometres from the picturesque centre of Meran. We are Christine and Magdalena and run this accommodation for the second and third generation with much attention to detail. We welcome our guests in a contemporary and stylish ambiance, which also display historical elements from our family’s treasure chamber. Magnificent moments of relaxation, adventures in the fresh mountain air and unique culinary experiences will guarantee unforgettable holidays.

Holiday hideaway with style

Every morning until 11 am, we spoil you with a varied breakfast of fresh and delicious quality products, partially produced on our farm and with delicacies from the region. During the whole day, we offer refreshing drinks, selfmade juices, aperitifs, excellent wines, coffee and homemade cakes. Our bar of confidence is open 24 hours a day. For our guests, we offer rooms and suites that are purposely furnished in a simple way, with handmade wooden furniture and historical single pieces. The suites (50 m²) and rooms offer a balcony or a loggia with dreamlike view of Algund or Meran. In your room, you will also find a wellness bag with bathrobe, towel and slippers, high-quality natural cosmetics, water and fresh apples as well as a hiking rucksack.

Relaxation and adventure

Our garden with pool, sunbeds and sunshades is the ideal place for relaxing. Forsterhof also offers free WLAN, a bike and e-bike rental, hiking sticks for rental as well as a car parking and a garage. We will be pleased to help you planning your hikes, bike tours and excursions. The village of Algund is characterised by an Alpine and by a Mediterranean side – ideal for a varied holiday full of exciting activities. Our guests will regularly get reduced ticket prices in the thermal baths of Meran and the South Tyrol GuestPass Algund: This guest card grants free travel on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol, free travel on some cable cars and other benefits.

Wonderful stay at the Forsterhof – I'd go back anytime! I had the great pleasure of spending a few days at the Hotel Forsterhof and I'm absolutely thrilled. The rooms are not only beautifully furnished, but also extremely clean and lovingly designed – you feel at home from the very first moment. A real highlight was the breakfast: varied, high-quality, and prepared with great attention to detail. I would especially like to emphasize how well they cater to any food intolerances – that's certainly not to be taken for granted and deserves great praise! The underground parking spaces are also very convenient and easily accessible – a real plus, especially in bad weather or with a lot of luggage. What really made the stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptionally friendly service. The entire team was always attentive, warm, and helpful – you can feel that true hospitality is at the forefront here. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Forsterhof and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Once again, the perfect stay in South Tyrol. Here, you are always welcomed with open arms and immediately feel at home. Both the hotel and the rooms are modern and well-maintained, and the quality of the food and drinks is excellent. Whether at breakfast on the beautiful terrace or relaxing by the pool with a view of the mountains, nothing is left to be desired. We had three very nice days at the Forsterhof. The hotel is incredibly personal, especially thanks to the very professional and friendly staff. I particularly liked the breakfast concept! It tasted very, very good, you could feel the quality of the ingredients in every bite. The rooms are modern and stylish, we only found the beds a bit uncomfortable (subjective!) and the door to the toilet is relatively “unprivate”. The rest of the bathroom is also completely open, which didn't bother us as a couple at all. I would definitely come again!

A dream vacation at the Forsterhof – pure relaxation in South Tyrol We were privileged to spend four wonderful days at the Hotel Der Forsterhof in Algund – and felt completely welcome and at home from the very first minute. The warm welcome with a welcome drink was the perfect start to our break. Our rooms were not only stylishly furnished, but also offered a magical view of the blossoming apple orchards and the impressive mountains of South Tyrol – simply fantastic! Every morning, we were treated to a lovingly served breakfast with regional delicacies – a true treat and a relaxing start to the day. A highlight – for all ages – was definitely the beautiful pool area and the private whirlpool on our terrace. Here, the children could splash around to their heart's content, while we adults enjoyed the peace and quiet and the view. A very heartfelt thank you to Christine & Magdalena Erlacher and the wonderful hotel team for their warm hospitality and the loving atmosphere that makes the Forsterhof so special. We will definitely be back!
