Route description
From the Karersee bus stop, follow the road to Schönblickstraße (1,600 m), which turns left. Now follow the signpost 'Elisabethpromenade' or No. 6. Follow the narrow road to the Simhilde and Meierei inns, then take the wide forest and meadow path past the Pitschöler, Ladritscher and Sohler farms. Now it is another 10 minutes to the Zeyna direction with the monument to Empress Sissi, who stayed in Welschnofen to recuperate and was very taken with this walk and the ruins of the former Zeynahof farm.
Return: on trail no. 3 through the forest down to the stream and back to Welschnofen.
