…and Luis Trenker was fascinating for both fans of mountain movies and women. In the past already, South Tyrol was able to come up with several interesting and/or special celebrities, who, just as folk hero Andreas Hofer, merit a place in the history books.
Still today, several people from South Tyrol are known beyond the region’s borders, such as the alpinists Reinhold Messner and Hans Kammerlander, chef and show master Roland Trettl or musician Herbert Pixner. The musician and star producer Giorgio Moroder has even made it to Hollywood and composed numerous world-famous hits.
Which South Tyroleans will become famous in the future is not predictable. However, it is certain, that the region has a lot of young talents in different fields that will for sure make their own way in the world.
