Touching the ski - Kronplatz
Just beautiful
well, admittedly there are mountains more spectacular than Kronplatz, a rounded summit, which has several nicknames such as dumpling or bald head in the local dialect. However, hardly any other mountain boasts such a spectacular view. The 360-degree panorama captures the most famous peaks in the Alpine region. If you want to find out what’s what, visit the huge Concordia bell on the summit plateau and check it out on the Alpine panorama relief.
Kronplatz employs around 40 operators who are in charge of piste grooming and maintenance. About 216 snowmaking machines operate every night. Provided that the temperature remains below - 4°C and the humidity below 80%. 24 hours a day ten snowmakers make sure that the pistes on the ski mountain are in perfect condition. At night about 25 operators groom the fresh machine-made snow.
In terms of grooming Kronplatz is number one in the Alpine region. It is highly recommended by numerous ski guides and the specialist media and much loved by visitors. And the success story goes on. To further improve the snow and piste quality, the snowmaking facilities have once again been expanded and upgraded for the 2006/07 winter season.
