The Hochpustertal is also called the land of the Drei Zinnen and ranges from the Pragser Wildsee, Niederdorf, Toblach, Innichen, Vierschach to Sexten. The monumental peaks of the Dolomites, the Drei Zinnen, and the picturesque Pragser Wildsee are the most well-known destinations for excursions. The emerald green mountain lake has become even more popular in the last years, being the setting for the shooting of various movies and TV productions.

For all fans of alpine sports and nature lovers, the holiday region offers numerous possibilities for an unforgettable time in a unique natural landscape – in summer as well as in winter. You can see the reflection of the magnificent panorama of the Dolomites in the crystal-clear water of the Pragser Wildsee, the Toblacher See and the Dürrensee and offers its visitors a picturesque spectacle.  In the idyllic and at times especially vital town centres of Toblach and Innichen, there are numerous shops, restaurants and accommodations of various categories – from simple Bed & Breakfasts to luxury hotels. Sexten and the wild romantic Fischleintal, are located in a more lonesome position, surrounded by striking peaks, being a paradise for all who love spending active holidays in a largly untouched mountain world.

The Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Prags and the Nature Park Drei Zinnen, being part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage, also take part of the Hochpustertal.

Hiking, biking & skiing in the Dolomites

In the Hochpustertal, everx wish by active vacationers can be satisfied. The nature parks invite to hikes of various degrees of difficulty – from easy family hikes to fixed rope routes.

Mountain bikers and cyclists may also enjoy a rich offer of tracks. The well-developed cycle path between Innichen and Bruneck is ideal for families, too. The demanding Stoneman trail by the mountain bike professional Roland Stauder is one of the numerous tours for mountain bikers. With around 115 km and 4,000 m of altitude difference, the track is a real challenge for exercised bikers as well; it should not be underestimated.

In winter, the skiing region Sextner Dolomiten offers 93 km of well-prepared slopes, inviting ski huts and modern ascending systems. The skiing region consists of the skiing areas Helm – Stiergarten – Rotwand, Haunold, Waldheim and Val Comelico, among the also family-friendly slopes. Via the Ski Pustertal Express, the ski region Sextner Dolomiten is directly linked with the well-known skiing area of Mt. Kronplatz. The trains leave every 30 minutes.

Cross-country ski runners and snowshoeing lovers as well have sufficient possibilities to pursue their hobbies in the Hochpustertal.
