The second weekend in May, as usual, will be held in Bozen, the 85th National Gathering of the Alpini, a yearly event that takes place each time in different cities of Italy. The meeting is intended to recall the first spontaneous gathering held on Mount Ortigara in Vicenza.
Over the past two years, the rallies were held in Turin and Bergamo as well as if the place changes every year, the participation, the emotion, the sense of belonging and the friendship that binds the whole Alpini of Italy and their families remains a year to year, unchanged.
It is not the first time that Bozen opens its doors to the Alpini military, in 1949 it housed, in fact, the 23 ° National Meeting. The province of Bozen can be said accustomed to Alpini, hosting various barracks. Among those still in use and those no longer in use, in South Tyrol are barracks in Bozen, Meran, Mals, Slanders, Glurns, Brixen, Sterzing, Bruneck, Welsberg, Toblach and Innichen.
The Alpini who served in one of these barracks will be happy to return among the beauties and relive the many memories lived in South Tyrol.
