MMM RIPA Opening
After two years of work, finally in summer 2011, will open the new Messner Mountain Museum RIPA in Bruneck, of the famous South Tyrolean mountaineer Reinhold Messner. RIPA in Tibetan means "mountain man".
The museum will be built inside the castle that dominates the city center.
This in Bruneck is the fifth Messner Museum dedicated to the people of the mountain. The other museums are in Firmian, Sulden, on Mount Rite, between Cortina and Pieve di Cadore and in Castel Juval.
The fifth project will be interactive and will become a place of exchange between the indigenous rural population and all the guests from all over the world who visit each year Bruneck and Pustertal.
In the showrooms you will see everyday objects of farmers and shepherds of the area, as well as works and objects of daily use of the various mountain people, including Sherpas, Tibetans, Mongols, Hunza.

MMM Tour Ticket: Since the opening of the museum in Bruneck, you can also buy a special ticket, with which is possible to visit all five museums, a tour-cumulative ticket, valid for the whole year.
