Only a few kilometers from Watles is situated the Nordic Ski Centre Schlinig, THE address for cross country skiing in Vinschgau Valley. Living nature, relax and integral movement is the motto of the ski center.

In the sunny Schlinigtal Valley there are 14 km of cross country ski runs, which are appropriate to beginners as well as to experts. The runs bring skiers to the lovely Schliniger Alm alpine pasture.

Recently a new Nordic Ski Center opened in Schlinig. It offers changing rooms, toilettes, ski schools and services. A one-day-pass for adults costs 3 €, a week-card 18 € and a 10-point-card 25 €.
