Cross country skiing in Speikboden area and Rein

The Tauferer Ahrntal Valley is the most northern and so also the most snow-sure area in South Tyrol. The valley profits by snowfall in the Alps, which doesn’t last to the most southerly situated ski areas as Kronplatz or Alta Badia.

Perfect conditions for cross country skiers, aren’t they? The sportsmen with the small shelves enjoy the runs around Speikboden mostly in the area of Mühlwald and Rein. Mühlwald offers ideal runs for beginners; here they find two runs a 8 km.

The most important area for cross country skiing in Speikboden area is Rein. There are 3 round-runs, which goes along the majestic glaciers Hochgall, Magerstein and Schneebiger Nock. Beside of the very rewarding runs, in the middle of the village was built a modern cross country ski center, from where every runs is reachable easily.
