Weißenbach: discovering the Ahrntal Valley on the Stabeler long-distance-trail

The Stabeler long-distance-trail is one of the most demanding and contemporaneously beautiful long-distance-trails in South Tyrol. It connects the Schwarzenstein refuge with the Cheminitzerhütte refuge.

The excursion

Starting point of the 7 hour tour is Weißenbach in Tauferer Ahrntal Valley. Take the signpost path and cross the Mitterbachtal Valley.

Arrived at the Obere Mitterbachalm alpine pasture, continue your excursion and you will reach soon the Stabeler long-distance-trail. The trail brings you to Chemnitzerhütte refuge and then to Gögealm alpine pasture. Here begins path 24. Take it and you will turn back to the starting point.
