Steinhaus: excursion between alpine pastures & mountains
Steinhaus is a lovely village in Tauferer Ahrntal Valley which is very popular for winter-tourists. But also for summer-holiday makers Steinhaus offers a lot of rewarding leisure-time-proposals. For example the excursion to Hochfeld-alpine pasture.
The excursion
The medium-difficult tour starts at the valley station of
Klausberg
ski-lift. Walk or drive to Schwaiger farms at 1580 m above sea level.
Here begins the signpost forest track to which leads you to Moser Ebene
and on path 7 to
Mount Hochfeld (2296 m above sea level). After short
time you will reach the
Hochfeld-alpine pasture, the destination of
this excursion. You will like the cozy hut there and the
great
panorama-view.
The entire excursion lasts 5-6 hours.
