Sand in Taufers: excursion in the Knuttental Valley

Edelweiss, gentian, dafne rosea: they don’t grow everywhere in the Alps. But you find millions of them at the Ochsenlenke crest in Knuttental Vally near Sand in Taufers. See here how to get there.

The excursion

By bus or by own car you have to drive from Sand in Taufers to Rein in Taufers. Park at the car park in Knuttental Valley and walk straight on until you arrive at the crossover with path 1b. Take the path and walk to Brunner alpine pasture and finally to the amazing Ochsenlenke crest where millions of flowers bloom. Don’t forget to shoot some photos.

To turn back you have to take the same paths as to get there. Enjoy the 5 hour-excursion!
