Rein in Taufers: challenging tour for expert mountain bikers

A very demanding and absolutely recommendable mountain bike tour is the one from Rein in Taufers to Klammljoch Pass, to Antholzersee Lake and back.

You will cross marvelous landscapes in Tauferer Ahrntal Valley and you will surely never forget this tour.

The mountain bike tour

The mountain bike tour lasts 6,5 hours and begins in Rein in Taufers. Cycle into Knuttental Valley and following the forest track you will arrive at Klammljoch Pass at 2294 m above sea level. Crossing the pass you will reach Austria. Continuing the tour on path 111 you will come to Patscherhütte hut and then to Hotel Alpenrose. Arrived there take the street to Staller Sattel Pass and enter South Tyrol and Italy. Ride down to Antholz and stop at the marvelous Antholzersee Lake. Don’t forget to shoot some photos!

To turn back to Rein in Taufers you have to cycle to Pustertal Valley. On the cycling path you will come to Bruneck and finally back to Rein in Taufers.

The entire tour is about 90 km long.
