The excursion

Starting point of the medium-difficult excursion is the car park in Knuttental Valley near Rein in Taufers (1675 m above sea level) in Tauferer Ahrntal Valley. Taking path 8a you will cross the varied valley, alpine meadows and lovely alpine pastures like Obere- and Untere Kofleralm-alpine pasture. Arrived there take path 9a wich leads you to the Kofler Lakes. Here you have an amazing view over the glaciers of Rieserferner-Group!

To turn back to Knuttental Valley take the same paths as to get to the Kofler Lakes. You will need 5 hours for the whole excursion.
