Hiking in Southern South Tyrol

Trekking around Mt. Trudner Horn

Neumarkt is gorgeous village in the Southern South Tyrol and it is situated close to the Trudner Horm Nature Park. We propose to excursionists well trained a far excursion in the marvelous nature park.

The excursion

The almost 9 hour long excursion begins in the center of Neumarkt. Take the bus to get to Cavalese/Pedrazzo and from there to San Lugano Pass. There begins path 4. Take it and follow him until you arrive at the meadows of Mt. Trudner Horn. From there you walk on a comfortable path to Langen Moos (1450) where forest track 9 begins. It brings you to the alpine pastures Krebsalm, Malghette and to the Zissattel Pass (1439).

Arrived there take the European Long-Distance-Trail Bodensee-Adria (E5) and hike to Hornalm alpine pasture and to the Hochmoor-Weißensee Lake. Take path 3 there, walk to the Gfrillnersattel Pass (1414 m) and scale down to Königswiese meadows. Following path 3/4 you reach Gstoagerhof Inn and passing Manzon finally also Neumarkt, the starting point of this excursion.

The demanding excursion is recommended to all excursionists, who search lonely paths.
