Hiking in Southern South Tyrol

From Kurtatsch to mountain-lodge Gummererhof

Around Kurtatsch in South Tyrol, hikers have a lot of possibilities to explore the Southern South Tyrol region, the vineyards, the lakes and the mountains.

Here we show you a short but very rewarding mountain-hike to the mountain-lodge Gummererhof.

To the mountain-lodge Gummererhof

From Kurtatsch wanderers at first have to go to Tramin, a neighbor-village of Kurtatsch. From the center you have to walk on the Söller-path to Rechtentahl castle and to the village Söll. Arrived there hike to the Expositur-Church on the left side and then to the "Lotter"-spring. Take there the small path on the left hand and follow it passing some ancient farms until you arrive at a forest track.

Follow it until you get to the markings to Gummererhof mountain-lodge. They will lead you to the mountain-lodge, where you can enjoy an amazing view over the villages you arrived from and over the whole Southern South Tyrol.

The easy tour lasts all in all 4 hours.
