Excursions in Süden Südtirol

Along the throat of Bletterbach

The area between Aldein, Radein and Jochgrimm offers endless possibilities for excursions immersed in nature and peace of unspoiled woods and pastures.
This is an excursion that brings you to the discovery of footprints and the remains of fossils and dinosaurs in Süden Südtirol.

From a geological museum of Radein to the Bletterbach

The excursion starts from the Geological Museum of Radein, where it is interesting to make a stop to admire the many storic finds found in the throat. You can admire the remains of fossil footprints of dinosaurs, fossilized fish, plants and shells.

From here we start to the fabulous canyon. Following the path leads into the gorge of theTaubenleck. It then continues along the bed of the river until Bletterbach.

From here you can admire the bottom of the throat of Bletterbach. Continue along the river until the waterfall. From here you leave the bed of the river and continue following the signs to the Visitor Center.
For the trip is advisable to be equipped with hiking boots.

The trip takes about 4 hours tackling a height difference of 250m.
