Up and down in Ultental Valley

The Ultental Valley is one of the most original valleys in South Tyrol and it has conserved its rural character.

Here you can find still farms with shingle roofs, villages with traditional centers and shops and lovers of nature can admire 2000 years old larches. The Ultental Valley is a great destination for cultural interested mountain bikers.

Don’t forget to pack your camera: you will find a lot of valid themes to shoot.

The mountain bike tour

Starting point is St. Pankraz in Ultental Valley. Cycle in to the valley until you arrive at the storage-lake Zoggler. Take the road above the dam to reach the other side of the artificial lake. After 4 km you arrive at the idyllic "Weißbrunner"-Lake and you will immediately why we have recommend to bring the camera: The view of the lake and the surroundings is really breathtaking!

To turn back you don’t cycle on the same way but along romantic forest tracks, you pass at original farms and villages. Bike through the lovely village St. Gertrud and reach St. Pankraz biking on forest tracks.
