Biking and hiking on Meran 2000

A little bit different mountain bike tour is the one from Meran to Meran 2000. Why different? Instead of bike the entire route, you will have to park your bike and hike the last meters of the itinerary.

For this mixed tour first of all you have to drive with your car from Meran to Hafling.

The mountain bike tour

Arrived ad Hafling saddle your bike and take the small street between church and Meßernwirt Inn in direction of Vöran. Turn to the right and then to the left and cycle on path 2b, 16 to reach after 100 m a forest track. After a few meters you turn to the left and you reach the Maiser alpine pasture.

Here begins the trekking-part: park your bike and hike along path 17 to the Meraner Hütte Refuge – the finish of this mountain bike-hiking-tour.

To get back you can take the path across the Kreuzjöchl gap to reach the Maiser alpine pasture, where you left your bikes. Turn back to Hafling.

For the whole tour you need 4 hours and you master 19 km.
