The mountain bike tour

This recommendable tour doesn’t begin in Riffian but in the 10 km distant village of Naturns. From there you pedal in direction of Schnalstal Valley until you come to the crossroad to Pfossental Valley. Take the street into the original valley, which becomes increasingly smaller and steeper. Once arrived at Gasthof Jägerrast Refuge you have to pedal on the forest track, which leads you to the heart of Texelgruppe Nature Park and to the erstwhile highest farm of South Tyrol, the Eisenhof.

There you can relax and prepare yourself for the way back (the same way as to get there). Don’t forget to put on the cycle helmet: the forest track is rocky and steep. A downfall can finish bad.

Also lovers of culture will like this mountain bike tour: the valley is unique and shows the very original and traditional side of South Tyrol. Plan 4 hours for the entire tour: you have to cycle about 1570 difference in altitude.
