From Partschins to Lodner Refuge

Everyone who is hiking in the Texelgruppe Nature Park passes sooner or later at the Lodner Refuge. The refuge is the most important base for long-trail excursions or climbing itineraries in the whole Nature Park. But also the excursion to getting there is very recommendable.

The excursion

The excursion begins at the Parking Place of the Birkenwald Inn in Partschins-Rabland. From here you hike on a romantic path to the Wasserfall Inn and on the left side to Fletscherhof farm. Shortly after you reach Nasserreith Refuge, where you can pause and relax before you proceed.

After the short break you take path 8 inbound until you reach a waterfall and after that the Gangl Alm alpine pasture. Take the left end path and you will pass a shrine and the Zielalm alpine pasture. From here you take only a few moments to get to the Lodner Refuge, the final destination of our hiking-tour.

If you want you can extend your excursion and climb the highest peak of the Texel Group: Roteck, 3337 m.

To return you take the same way as to getting there. All in all you hike 6 hours.
