Reach the sky – uphill on Mount Marling

1500 m difference in altitude: you have to be very fit if you want to bike on Mount Marling and to master all this meters!
As reward for the strenuous ascend you get a fantastic panorama view of the landscape around Meran and of the Vinschgau Valley.

Marling is a well known holiday’s destination for lovers of outdoor sports. Excursionists and bikers will fell fine here and they will share the paths and water paths with Nordic walkers and hikers.

The mountain bike tour

The mountain bike tour starts near by the tourism office of Marling. There you take the water path and path 33 to the Tschigg Inn and from there the forest track 31 to the crossroad “Almboden”. There bikers take path 9 to Seespitz Inn and after a while they reach St. Vigilius church, which is with 1793 m the highest point of this tour.

To get back you have to take path 9 and 29 to Mahlbach and to Bründl Inn and from there you bike back to Marling across Senn am Berg.

The tour is 40 km long and you will need 4 or 5 hours for it.
