Holidays in Marling
Marling in South Tyrol is famous for dense forests next to sunny fruit meadows and innumerable wandering paths.

Here you can find a large number of paths. The most renowned one is the Waal Path which will take you from Marling, past Lana to Forst.
Walking you can see and admire the old irrigation system. The Marlinger Hoehenweg (‘High Path’) is a little more tiring and strenuous, but certainly worthwhile, if you happen to be an experienced hiker or biker.
The region is particularly renowned for the local specialities such as ‘Shaky Bread’ (Schüttelbrot), homemade ham or bacon naturally go along with fresh wine.
For doing shopping you can go to the near city of Meran (as Empress Sissy used to).
