From Lana to Fragsburg Castle – a easy half-day-tour

Lana is situated on the sunny side of South Tyrol, more precisely in the surroundings of the Mediterranean city of Meran, which is a demanding territory not only for gourmets and excursionists but also for who loves mountain biking. A recommendable bike tour is the one from Lana to Fragsburg Castle.

The mountain bike tour

The easy bike tour starts in the center of Lana and brings you as a start to Burgstall, where you take the old province road to the parish church. There you take the road to the Kohlerhof farm where you have to carry your mountain bike for a little while on path 1. After the carrying intermezzo you cycle to the Hecherhof farm and on the asphalt-road in direction of Meran.

Keep your eyes open! After a while you will see the Fragsburg Castle, an absolutely worth visiting castle where you can enjoy also an incredible view of Meran and surroundings. Continue your tour to Schenna and Meran where you turn back to Lana on to the cycle track.

All in all you need about 4 hours for the whole tour. It is 40 km long.
