Vahrn in Eisacktal Valley (South Tyrol) is also called "the door to south". Because right here is the place where the cold climate from the north meets the mild and sunny one from the south. Vahrn is a real Garden of Eden.

Chestnuts, apples, grapes. In the surroundings of Vahrn grows everything typical for South Tyrol and its cuisine. Because of this the autumn is the preferred period to visit Vahrn. In the harvest season the popular "Törggelen" take place, special harvest evenings in farms, where everyone can taste the new wine, traditional dishes and chestnuts.

Vahrn is situated close to Brixen in Eisacktal Valley and close to Neustift monastery, where the famous philosopher Nicolaus Cusanus was from. The monastery and the medieval city of Brixen are worth seeing. In winter, however, we recommend skiing in Plose ski area. The ski resort is reachable in 15 minutes from your apartment or hotel in Vahrn.
