From Mühlbach to Brixnerhütte Refuge

In winter you can ski around Mühlbach, in summer there are other possibilities to spend wonderful days in the lovely village in Eisacktal Valley.

What about a demanding mountain biket tour from the village to Brixnerhütte Refuge?

The mountain bike tour

In Mühlbach you have to pedal on the old road to Vals. The road is very steep: there are acclivities about 17 and 18 %! Before you get to Vals turn to your left and pedal on the forest track to the valley station of Jochtal cable cars. There you have to take the small road to Fanealm-alpine pasture where you can charge your batteries before you continue the tour.

After your break cycle trough a very romantic valley, pass a gap and a plateau and finally you will reach the Brixnerhütte refuge, the destination of this mountain bike tour. Turn back to Mühlbach on the same paths as to get there.

The whole tour is 40 km long and it is medium-heavy.
