From Lüsen to Mt. Plose: day tour for expert cyclers

Some like it difficult. Mostly those are cyclers, who are searching long and high tours. Such a demanding tour is the one from Lüsen to Mt. Plose.

The mountain bike tour

The day tour begins in the center of Lüsen at 972 m above sea level. Pedal to Petschied, Hinterlüsen and Guggen and finally to Mt. Halsl at 1866 m above sea level. From there you have to bike to Hinterafers, Palmschoss and Kreuztal at 2050 m above sea level.

Arrived there cycle to Plose Refuge (2446 m above sea level) and to the peak of Mt. Plose (2458 m above sea level). From the peak you have a breathtaking view over the Eisacktal Valley and this is enough gratification for the exertions of the uphills.
Return to Lüsen taking the ways to Ochsenalm-alpine pasture and along Kaserbachtal Valley. The entire tour is 50 km long and offers 1475 m altitude difference.
