Lajen: hiking-tour to Mount Tschafon near Tiers

The excursion to Mount Tschafon is very popular by families: it is short and it easy and it offers such fantastic panoramic views,  that even the kids don`t get bored. See here how to get there.

The excursion

The tour begins in Tiers, a small and lovely village in between Mount Rosengarten and Mount Latemar. From Lajen you get there by car. Park it near the Weißlahnbad Hotel and follow path 4a until you reach the last houses. Take the forest path and walk to Tschafon hut, where you can take a short break.

To reach Mount Tschafon (2834 m above sea level), follow the signposts and you will arrive at the peak in about half an hour. To turn back, take the same paths as to get there.

The entire excursion lasts 3,5 hours.
