Cycling from Klausen to Lajen

Klausen is a lovely and picturesque city in Eisacktal Valley: Klausen is small and romantic, it has a medieval character and everyone feels immediately fine in the city.
The surroundings of Klausen are very interesting, too. For example for undertaking nice mountain bike tours. Here we describe a rewarding mountain bike tour from Klausen to Lajen.

The mountain bike tour

The cycling tour begins in Klausen near Griesbruck and brings you on the Gufidaun road (see the signposts) to the bus-stop of Villnöss Valley. Cycle into the valley for 4 km and arrived at Stern Inn turn to your right. Cross a wooden bridge and cycle to the Froy Baths.

From there you have to bike to Gnollhof farm and after 200 m on forest track 7 to the Amberghütte-alpine pasture.
To reach Lajen, cycle back to the road junction near Gnollhof farm and take path 7. Cross a lovely forest and don’t miss the arm to Lajen (path 35). Arrived there take a break in one of the many gorgeous cafés and enjoy the cozy village!

Turn back to Klausen taking the road to Albions and from there path 5 to Klausen. The mountain bike tour Klausen-Lajen is 30 km long, middle difficult and doable in 4 hours.
