Recommendable excursion from Brixen to Radlsee Lake

The Radlsee Lake is one of the most popular hiking-destinations in Brixen and surroundings. The lake is situated very idyllic below Mt. Königsangerspitze and easily reachable also by families with smaller children.

The excursion

First of all you have to drive from Brixen to Pfeffersberg village. Park your car near Perlungerhof farm at 1380 m above sea level. Take path 8 and walk through a lovely forest for 2 hours.

After you have passed the forest you reach already the Radlsee Lake, situated at 2255 m above sea level. You will be amazed, how beautiful the green gleams the lake and how picturesque is the surrounding of it. Near the Radlsee Lake you can relax in the Radlsee Hut enjoy some excellent Eisacktal Valley specialties there. You will like it.

To turn back, you have to choose the same way as to get there. The easy excursion lasts 4-5 hours. If you want you can climb Mt. Königsangerspitze: the mountain is only half an hour distant from Radlsee Lake.
