Hiking in the Dolomites

From Wengen to Pischadù

The fixed-rope-route Brigata Tridentina to Mount Pischadù is one of the most popular routs in the Dolomites: it is medium-difficult, it isn’t long and crossing of the suspension bridge is the real clue.

The excursion

Drive from Wengen to Badia and then to Kolfuschg. There you drive towards Gröden Pass. At half the way park on the left side parking place signpost with Via Ferrata Brigata Tridentina. Follow now the signposts to the fixed-rope-route (about 10 minutes).

The beginning part of the fixed-rope-route is very easy, the main part more exposed and more difficult and in the last part awaits you the high and dizzy suspension bridge. After you have crossed it, you have to walk for 10 minutes to Pischadù refuge.

To turn back to the parking place, take path 666 through Val Setùs Valley.

The whole excursion in Wengen lasts about 4 hours.
