Discovering Schlern and Seis plateau

The Schlern massif is surely the most famous symbol of South Tyrol and not to beat in its singularity. A really particular excursion leads excursionist at the feed of Schlern massif and offers unforgettable views.

The excursion

Starting point is Seis. Take the cable car to reach the Seis plateau. At the summit station you have to take the forest track 10 in southern direction. You will cross lovely meadows and pastures.

After a while you will reach a fork. Take paths 5 and 1 and hike in Western direction to the Schlernhaus Refuge (2450 m above sea level) and from there to the highest point of the excursion: Mount Pez at 2563 m above sea level. From here you can enjoy an amazing view over Mount Langkofel and the unique Schlern massif. Don’t forget to shoot some photos!

To turn back to Seis, you have to take the same paths as to get to Mount Pez. For the entire medium-difficult tour you need about 6 hours and a half.
