From Obereggen to Karersee Lake

For who wants to know better the magic world of Rosengarten and Latemar, we recommend an easy excursion from Obereggen to the marvelous Karersee Lake at the feet of Mount Latemar.

The excursion

The excursion begins in Obereggen in Eggental Valley. Taking path 21a you get into a deep forest and on path 21a to the feed of Latemar. After a little while you reach the viewpoint of Mittelleger, where you can relax for some time and dip into the enchant landscapes around Latemar mountains.

Continue the excursion on path 11. It leads you through the Karerwald forests and finally to the magic Karersee Lake. The Karersee Lake mirrors the Latemar rocks and the woods. You will be amazed!

After you have shoot enough photos you can begin your way back. Walk at the western river of the lake to Welschnofen and on path 8 or 14 back to Obereggen. The whole excursion at the feet of Latemar lasts 4 and a half hour.
