Hiking in the Dolomites

From Innichen to Mount Haunoldköpfl

Innichen in Hochpustertal offers many outdoor-possibilities in winter.

But not only. Also in summer you can undertake several tours in the Dolomites. Very recommendable is, for instance, the excursion from Innichen to Mount Haunold Köpfl at 2160 m above sea level.

The excursion

The hiking-tour begins in Innichen at the valley station of the skiing resort Mount Haunoldköpfl. There begins a idyllic path which leads you for 3 hours through a lovely forest. On path 28 and on the toboggan run you will reach the Haunoldhütte Refuge where you can charge your batteries whit original South Tyrolean specialties before you begin the second part of the excursion.

After the break you reach after 2 hours the peak of Mount Haunoldköpfl (look at the signposts). Here you enjoy the amazing view over the Alps in the North, the Drei Zinnen Peaks, the Dreischusterspitze peak and many other Dolomite-mountains.
