Discovering the Gsies Valley

This cycling tour is appropriate to explore the Gsies Valley, its alpine pastures, hamlets and landscapes. Starting point for this marvelous tour is Taisten, situated near Gsies in Pustertal Valley.

The mountain bike tour

For the tour you will need 4 hours. Start in Taisten and pedal along country ways and asphalted roads in to Gsies Valley. You will pass at Schindelholz, Außerpichl, Oberpichl and Kargruben hamlets, until you reach St. Martin in Gsies. Arrived there you have to cycle to the sports zone and pedaling on the left side of the valley to St. Magdalena.

To turn back to Taisten you have to take the same ways as to get to St. Magdalena. The tour is 32 km long and also doable for families with sporty children.
