Mountain biking in the Dolomites

From Gais to Tesselberg and Mühlbach

This tour is only 25 km long but very demanding. Well trained bikers have to get over a difference in altitude about 650m.

The mountain bike tour

The cycling tour begins in the centre of Gais. Pass by the parish church and take the cycling path in direction of Bruneck. After about 600 m turn to the left and take the country way to Aufhofen.

There begins an asphalted track. Follow him to Dietenheim and Luns. Arrived there take the road to Amaten and Mühlbach, a lovely mountain village in the middle of untouched nature.

To turn back to Gais, take the signpost path to Uttenheim and there the cycling path back to the starting point.

Tip: if you need a break during the tour we recommend a stop in Amaten restaurant.
