Hiking in the Dolomites

From Pederü Refuge to Seekofelhütte Refuge

One of the most beautiful excursions in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park is the one from Pederü Refuge near St. Vigil in Enneberg to Seekofel Refuge, hiking in the wonderful landscape of Sennes Alp.

The excursion

The excursion begins at the Pederü Refuge, reachable by car coming from St. Vigil in Enneberg. Take the forest track on the left side in direction of Sennes. After many hairpin bends and steep tracks you reach an idyllic highland: the Sennes Alp. Walk on and in short time you will arrive at Sennes Refuge.

Take a short break there before you continue the excursion to Seekofel Refuge.
To reach the destination of this excursion you have to take the wide signpost path to Seekofel Refuge (2327 m above sea level). You reach it in 2 hours. From there you have an amazing view over the whole Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park. Breathtaking!

To turn back take the same paths as to get there. The whole excursion lasts about 5 or 6 hours and it’s easy.
