Summer in South Tyrol
Specially in summer South Tyrol seems to be an adventure park for outdoor sportsmen. Now time has come to undertake audacious climbing tours in the Dolomites, to jump into the fresh water of Kaltern Lake and to pedal over 48 hairpin bends to Stilfser Joch Pass. What? That’s not enough?
So, what about a lovely excursion from hut to hut in the Sarntal Alps? Or what do you think about a rewarding family-trip to the ice-holes near St. Michael-Eppan? Or why not enjoying one of the 10 Dolomites-Mountain-Paths?

- 1. Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle: nowadays the gardens are no more an insider tip, but they are nevertheless the absolute highlight of every visit in Meran. You will not believe how many different flowers bloom here.
- 2. The Path of Hours: over borders and between time: the Path of Hours connects the monastery Marienberg in Vinschgau with the monastery St. Johann in Müstair in Switzerland constructed for contemplative excursions.
- 3. Water Paths: along the ancient canals of irrigation on the Mount Sun in Vinschgau Valley you can find nice paths. They are called water paths and they are very interesting for gourmets: countless farm bars border the path.
- 4. Geoparc Bletterbach: the American people have their Gran Canyon, the South Tyrolean people however their Bletterbach-Canyon: the unique canyon is an amazing portal to the beginnings of life on earth.
- 5. Chestnut Trail: to know already in summer where to “törggeln” (=tasting wine and chestnuts-parties) in autumn, we recommend to try the farm bars along the Chestnut Path in Eisacktal Valley.
- 6. Mine in Ridnaun: in Mount Schneeberg they mined silver till the last century. Now you visit out- and inside of the mine by undertaking a journey through many kilometers of galleries.
- 7. Mount Patern Kofel: instead of climbing the one and only Drei Zinnen, we recommend to crest the peak of Mount Patern Kofel, taking fixed rope routes and ancient galleries.
