Rock Festivals and Open Airs in South Tyrol

When you think about South Tyrol, you think about beautiful landscapes, cozy cities, romantic mountain pastures and traditional folk music. You are thinking right, because maybe you don't know that in South Tyrol also a lot of Rock Festivals and Open Airs take place.

Here we want to present to you the festivals Rock im Ring and Eternity of Rock. These two festivals are representing the festival-scene in South Tyrol. How their names tell, there is no jazz-music or classic-music but simply rock and heavy metal. The festivals are partially so successful, that even fans from Germany and Southern Italy come to visit the festival.

The most successful festival in South Tyrol is an open air concert called Rock im Ring in Ritten. 2010 it will take place on 9th and 10th July, headliners are Juliette Lewis und Danko Jones Gallows. In addition, many local bands will rock the stage and the organization counts on more than 1,000 visitors.

The Eternity of Rock festival in Prad am Stilfser Joch in Vinschgau Valley takes place on 5th June 2010 with concerts by Maroon, Kissin' Dynamite, Zodiac Ass, Day Shine Rising, Prehate und Reach us Endorphine.
